Snow White and Rose Red is a classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. It was published in numerous versions and this is just one of them. It was illustrated by Frances Brundage and published by Stecher Litho Co, Rochester, NY, USA in 1929.
Print is done in two techniques (like in Red Riding Hood picture book from the same creators): about half in two colors (red and black) and the rest in full-color technique, which probably helped the publisher to make some profit in the competitive printing world.
This means all used images are in Public Domain according to the rule 'author + 70 years' because Frances Brundage died in 1935. Presented pictures were edited to look as good as possible, so if you want to use them in your personal project, a link pointing to this web address would be appreciated.

Snow White (below) and Rose Red (above) were sisters living in the wood with their mother. They loved to play with animals and were very helpful in the house.
Forest was their preferred location for spending time.
In the winter the girls had to be mostly at home. One day a bear came to the door. They were afraid of him at first, but it was not an ordinary bear. He was talking and he was nice. They soon became great friends.
When the spring arrived, the bear had to go. He said he has some unfinished business.
Snow White and Rose Red were most of the time in the forest again. They met a grumpy dwarf who was constantly in trouble. They saved his life not once but three times, yet he was just yelling at them.
One day they accidentally found a dwarf while he was counting his gold. He wasn't happy at all.
But then the bear jumped on him and killed the dwarf. It looks this nasty little man was his unfinished business!
When the dwarf died, the bear changed into a handsome prince. He told the girls he was enchanted by the dwarf who stole his treasures. The only way to regain his old form was to kill the dwarf.
The prince invited the sisters to his castle and after a while he married Snow White while his brother married Rose Red.
Their mother moved to the castle as well.
They all lived happily ever after.
